A man accused of attempted rape in Newmarket has appeared at Crown court.

Jakir Hussain, 27, of Bahram Close, Newmarket did not indicate a plea.

Judge David Goodin told Hussain he would be brought back to Ipswich Crown Court in November for a plea and case management hearing.

Hussain, who was remanded in custody, is charged with the attempted rape of a 24-year-old woman in an alleyway between the High Street and Rowley Drive.
